As part of its maintenance services for local authorities, Jardi Location et Paysage recently deployed the new generation of ROOG 150.60 disc overseeder on two sports pitches in Inzinzac (56).

We were able to observe two operations, the second of which had been sanded beforehand, allowing us to assess how the machine performed on different ground conditions.

Thanks to their sharp profiles, the discs penetrate the ground effectively and are less sensitive to variations in ground hardness than twin-disc reseeding equipment. The machine therefore has a wider operating range, without requiring the addition of weights to ensure disc penetration or the need to water the ground the day before reseeding.

The new generation of ROOG 150-60 disc overseeder is also lighter than its predecessor, with a total weight of less than 600kg, making it particularly suitable for tractors from 30Cv upwards.

The machine has demonstrated excellent operational consistency throughout the projects, confirming the reliability of the injection system combined with ventilation sowing.

The ROOG 150.60 proved well-suited to these different ground conditions, delivering uniform and consistent seed placement. The discs also help to cut through and weaken existing weeds – a specific benefit offered by the ROOG 150.60 – thereby making a further contribution to optimal turf quality.

The work was carried out using 90° criss-cross passes, using 10 g/m² of a mixture of different ryegrasses.

These projects confirm the value of the ROOG 150.60 for overseeding operations, particularly for contractors working in varied conditions throughout the season.
